The Musical Genealogy of Separation: Article III – Toto are connected to Martin Luther

NOTE: This all has to do with personal connections, plus a little bit of blood connections.

Also, things can get a little weird with this one, but it was all in my research!

  1. Before Toto, Bobby Kimball was the lead singer for a New Orleans-area group known as The Levee Band, which changed its name to LeRoux after Bobby left.
  2. From 1982-84, LeRoux had the late Dennis “Fergie” Frederiksen as their lead singer. Frederiksen later went to sing for Toto, appearing on their 1984 studio album Isolation.
  3. Frederiksen was in a short-lived line-up of the group Angel, which had Gregg Giuffria as their keyboard player.
  4. Giuffria’s lead vocalist was David Glen Eisley.
  5. David Glen Eisley’s power ballad “Sweet Victory” was featured on the 2001 SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Band Geeks.”
  6. Some time before the creation of SpongeBob SquarePants, the late Stephen Hillenberg, the show’s creator, was an animation director on Rocko’s Modern Life, created by Joe Murray, who was also responsible for the creation of the Cartoon Network series Camp Lazlo.
  7. Since Rocko’s Modern Life was broadcasted on Nickelodeon, the aforementioned channel had its origins when QUBE, an interactive television network, was set up in Columbus, Ohio, in 1977. QUBE was launched by Warner Cable, later known as Time Warner Cable.
  8. Warner Cable was a division of Warner Communications, which was formed in 1972 from a parking operations-related scandal that spun off the entertainment assets from Kinney National Company.
  9. In 1970, Kinney bought two record labels, Elektra and Nonesuch, which were established by Jac Holzman.
  10. Holzman signed The Doors to Elektra.
  11. Jim Morrison, who was obviously the lead singer of The Doors, was the father of Navy upper half rear admiral/aviator George Stephen Morrison.
  12. George Stephen Morrison was the commander of the American naval forces during the Gulf of Tonkin incident during the Vietnam War.
  13. The two attacks that characterized the Gulf of Tonkin incident led President Lyndon Baines Johnson to be granted the powers that were given to him by the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution that was passed by Congress.
  14. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the son of Texas Democrat representative Samuel Ealy Johnson, Jr. whose father, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Sr., served in a Bexar County-based Confederate cavalry regiment led by French-born Xavier Debray.
  15. The Confederate States Army was led by commander Robert E. Lee.
  16. Robert E. Lee was the grandson of Captain Henry Lee I, a Virginia colonist of English descent.
  17. Henry Lee I was the son of Colonel Richard Lee II, the son of Colonel Richard Lee I, who was a loyal supporter of former British king Charles I.
  18. Charles I’s mother was Queen Anne of Denmark, the daughter of Danish king Frederick II, the son of Danish king Christian III.
  19. In 1521, while in Germany, Christian III attended the Diet of Worms to hear Martin Luther’s speech.

The Musical Genealogy of Separation: Article II – Iron Maiden are Connected to Genghis Khan’s Father

NOTE: The first few connections are only by blood. The rest are personal connections that have nothing to do with any lineage.

-Yesügei, the leader of the Borjigin, a sub-clan of the Kiyat clan, was the father of Temüjin, better known as Chinggis Khaan, Chinggis Khagan, or simply Genghis Khan.
-Genghis Khan was the grandfather of Bat Haan, also known as Batu Khan.
-Batu Khan established the Golden Horde.
-In 1389, a Turkic man, a Tatar by the name of Aslan Çelebi-Murza, defected from the Golden Horde and, with the help of the first Prince of Muscovy, Dmitry Donskoy, was able to openly challenge Mongol rule in the area.
-Aslan Çelebi-Murza was an ancestor of the parents of Russian novelist Fyodor Mihkailovich Dostoevsky, who became famous for penning such works as Crime & Punishment, which was published in 1866.
-Dostoevsky’s nephews were pupils of Nikolai Zaremba, a music theory teacher at the Russian Musical Society (RMS).
-Another pupil of Zaremba was Pyotor Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
-Tchaikovsky composed the ballets The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, both of which were brought into exsistence with the help of Ivan Vsevolozhsky, the director of the Imperial Theatres in Russia.
-In an 1887 performance in St. Petersburg, Vsevolozhsky became impressed by, and discovered Enrico Cecchetti.
-Cecchetti was a teacher of Irish ballet dancer Edris Stannus, better known by her stage name (Dame) Ninette de Valois.
-Ninette was responsible for the founding of The Vic-Wells Ballet, later known as The Royal Ballet.
-In the 1930s, a man by the name of Constant Lambert became the conductor for The Vic-Wells Ballet.
-Constant Lambert was the father of Kit Lambert, who was best known for his management work with The Who.
-Kit produced the 1968 eponymous debut album of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
-A while after the release of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown’s first album, drummer Carl Palmer and organist Vincent Crane went on to form Atomic Rooster. Palmer would later achieve more success as the drummer for Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
-A later member of Atomic Rooster was a bass player named John McCoy, although he was with Atomic Rooster for only a short period of time. McCoy, however, was previously the bass player for Scrapyard, who later changed their name to Samson a while after McCoy left.
-Samson had Bruce Dickinson as a member.
-Bruce Dickinson later became the best-known lead singer for Iron Maiden.
